The most exciting color combination I’ve had so far…
I haven’t been experimental with my purchases of eyeshadow palettes. I’m someone who sticks to my comfortable dark tones of purple, green, brown, blue and always mixed with black. I love the smokey eye look, which gives my eyes an illusion of bigger size. Well, my eyes are naturally small.
So when I got my hands on this Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette in Acid Brights, it was a mixed feeling of excitement and a bit of doubt. Those are really smashing colors! But can I get away with those?
A first glance at Makeup Revolution palette can immediately give you a happy feeling. Just look at the bright colors. It’s rainbow in a compact! Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, just missing indigo, which I believe can easily be achieved by blending violet with black. Bright, catchy yet comes with the shade I can’t live without —- black —- this palette is simply an “eye candy”.
Pure sellout – dupe alert! These are the ultimate palettes with ultra high payoff. Collectable, we cater equally mattes as the ever popular shimmers

Color payoff is really amazing. See how bright the colors look on my skin. Among these colors, the top ones that I’d be using are definitely royal blue, metallic light blue, violet, olive green, silver and black for daily wear. White can be used to highlight, while deep pink, yellow, orange, pink and mint green can be applied for more dressy occasions. You can actually use deep pink and pink as blush!
Excitedly, I tried the palette for my first look using Makeup Revolution. This one will be a combination of blue and black shades. Here’s my eye transformation…
For this quick, 5-minute eye makeup, these are my steps:
1 – I normally start with black lines and shade on my eyelid and under eye
2 – I blend with 2 more colors, in this case royal blue then metallic light blue
3 – Blend again with black if you’d like a darker smokey eye or bigger eye effect
4 – Apply liquid eyeliner on the eyelid
5 – Eyes are done!
The look won’t be complete without adding a dash of color to the lips. I tried on this Makeup Revolution Lipstick in Chic color. Although I enjoy deep dark reds, I also love light pink shades that just add a soft touch of color to the lips.
Outstanding formula and so affordable.
You will be amazed at the quality of the lipstick? This is your MUST HAVE lipstick, and better still, amazing value so you can collect them all! Over 20 shades of this creamy, long lasting lipstick with high colour payoff. From nudes to brights, and mattes to creamy there is something to suit everyone.
This lipstick has a creamy texture and glides easily on the lips…and wait…it smells nice, too! I’m not sure what that scent is but it smells yummy. This one also has some glitter or shimmer effect. I like that the top cover shows the lipstick color so I don’t need to recall the shade inside. I’m sure a lot of us own probably 10 or more lipstick colors and it can be time-consuming to keep organising or recalling the color inside for each tube, each brand. This Makeup Revolution Lipstick is cleverly packaged.
So here’s my before and after look with Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Paletter and Lipstick. I love the blue and black eye colors and the lipstick was a lovely match!
(look at me here before makeup, definitely cannot live without colors, I look so pale)
Still excited to try and test my bronzer, lip power and concealer!
